Griffey bored with rehab
By John Fay
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Ken Griffey Jr.'s left hamstring is getting better, and he's getting bored.
While the Reds were on the road, he had six 5 1/2-hour rehab sessions with Reds physical therapist Lonnie Soloff.
It's the same every day, he said. I could tell you in my sleep what I have to do. He might change a thing or two.
So is it working?
I have good days and bad days, Griffey said. I'm taking it one day at a time. When I feel I can help the team, I'll be back. Until I can, there's no reason to come back.
Griffey stuck to his prediction Tuesday that he could be back in two weeks.
Hopefully, he said. It could be closer to three weeks.
Griffey partially tore his hamstring March 26. He was used as a pinch hitter, going 0-for-12 with three walks, until April 28 when he tweaked the injury.
