Young expected to return today
LF was on hitting streak before injury
By John Fay

Left fielder Dmitri Young was not going to start Friday night's game because of his sore back. It would have been the fourth straight game he missed had it not been rained out.
Barring a setback, Young probably will return for tonight's doubleheader.
He still feels it, Reds manager Bob Boone said Friday.
The decision to keep Young out of the lineup wasn't made until after he took some swings in the batting cage. His back is much better.
It was hurting the whole time until (Thursday), he said. It never got loose.
Young, who is hitting .289 with five home runs and 19 RBI, said nothing specific caused the injury.
It was just the wear and tear of going out there every day, he said. The rest has done me good. I want to be ready, so I can play another 120 games.
Young was hot when he went out. He had a 12-game hitting streak snapped when he left Sunday's game because of the back.
Bob (Boone) asked me if I wanted to (try to continue the streak) or get treatment, he said. I got treatment.
Young hit .358 with a homer and nine RBI during the streak.
