Game report: Reds 3, Red Sox 0
The arms: Couldn't have been much better. Scott Williamson had his best outing of the year in the Reds' 3-0 victory over the Boston Red Sox Sunday. Williamson went four innings, allowing no runs and three hits. He walked two walk and struck out six.
Chris Reitsma followed Williamson by throwing four innings of no-hit, no-walk ball.
Danny Graves closed it out with a perfect inning.
The bats: Pokey Reese had two hits, an RBI and a stolen base. Aaron Boone also had a pair of hits.
The rest: The Red Sox kicked the ball around (three errors) and made bone-head plays in the field all day. Reese made a nice play behind Reitsma.
Up next: The Reds go to Baseball City to play the Kansas City Royals today at 1:05 p.m. RHP Elmer Dessens (1-1, 7.94 ERA) will face RHP Dan Reichert (1-0, 4.50). Dessens struggled in his last outing, allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits.
