Winter Meetings happenings

DALLAS Friday's developments at baseball's winter meetings:
Mike Hampton reached a preliminary agreement on a $121 million, eight-year contract with Colorado, the largest deal in baseball history and the longest for a pitcher since Wayne Garland's 10-year contract with Cleveland in 1977. The deal could be finalized as early as Saturday.
Alex Rodriguez's agent, Scott Boras, had discussions with several teams.
Manny Ramirez's agent, Jeff Moorad, delayed his arrival until Sunday. He was in California speaking with Boston Red Sox officials.
First baseman Mark Grace agreed to a $6 million, two-year contract with Arizona.
First baseman Andres Galarraga agreed to a $6.25 million, one-year contract with Texas, which may use him as a designated hitter.
Left-hander Jeff Fassero agreed to a $5.1 million, two-year contract with the Chicago Cubs.
Right-hander Tom Gordon reached a preliminary agreement on a $5 million, two-year contract with the Chicago Cubs.
Left-hander Dan Plesac agreed to a $2.4 million, one-year contract with Toronto.
Utilityman Shawon Dunston agreed to a one-year contract with San Francisco.
