Greatest Moments In Stadium History

        1. 1972 — Johnny Bench homers in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the fifth and final game of the National League Championship Series. It is regarded as the most dramatic single moment in Reds — and Cincinnati sports — history.

        2. 1985 — Pete Rose singles off San Diego Padres' Eric Show for hit No.4,192, breaking Ty Cobb's all-time hit record.

        3. 1982 — In the infamous Freezer Bowl of the American Football Conference Championship, the Bengals whipped the San Diego Chargers in minus-59 degree wind chill en route to Cincinnati's first Super Bowl.

        4. 1970 — Pete Rose runs over American League catcher Ray Fosse in the Major League All-Star game at brand-new Riverfront Stadium.

        5. 1984 — Pete Rose takes over as player-manager of the Reds in mid-season after a 41/2-year absence. He smashes a double (with an error by centerfielder) and launches his famous head-first slide into third base as the crowd goes nuts.

        6. 1988 — Reds pitcher Tom Browning throws a perfect game.

        7. 1988 — Bengals beat the Washington Redskins to win the AFC Central Division title, on a game-winning field goal by Jim Breech in overtime, 20-17.

        8. 1975 — The Bengals win an offensive show (QB Ken Anderson connects on 30-of-46 passes for 447 yards) against the O.J. Simpson-led Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football before millions of TV viewers and 56,666 fans. (Score: 33-24).

        9. 1975 — The Reds bounce back to win Game 5 of the World Series, with Tony Perez busting out of a huge slump with two home runs to give Cincinnati a 3-games-to-2 lead going to Boston.

        10. 1990 — The Reds shock the heavily favored Oakland A's in the World Series by winning Game 1 (Eric Davis first-inning home run) and Game 2 (Joe Oliver doubles home Billy Bates).
