Griffey Sr. hospitalized after chest pains
By John Fay
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Reds bench coach Ken Griffey Sr. was listed in good condition at Good Samaritan Hospital Sunday night after experiencing mild chest pains.
Griffey was to remain at Good Samaritan for tests, Reds spokesman Rob Butcher said.
Griffey left Sunday's game by ambulance.
It wasn't an emergency situation, Reds trainer Greg Lynn said.
It was the second time in a week that a Reds coach had to be taken to the hospital because of chest pain.
Pitching coach Don Gullett went through a similar episode last week in New York.
Gullett is expected to return to the team today.
