Bell strikes out 10 for RiverBats

The Associated Press

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Rob Bell pitched eight strong innings and Brady Clark and D.T. Cromer each had three hits as the Louisville RiverBats held off the Norfolk Tides for a 7-5 win at Slugger Field on Sunday.

Bell, who began the season with the Reds, allowed just six hits and two runs while walking two and striking out 10 to follow up his previous 11-strikeout effort. It was his fourth win, and lowered his ERA to 3.73.

The RiverBats scored four runs in the first inning highlighted by Clark's double that scored Kimera Bartee and Jason Williams.

Clark tied a RiverBats record with three doubles.
