Reds close Castro deal
By John Fay
The Cincinnati Enquirer
The Reds' trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers for Juan Castro was completed Thursday when the Reds sent 18-year-old right-hander Kenny Lutz to Los Angeles.
The Reds also received $150,000 in the deal.
Lutz, the Reds' fourth-round pick in last year's draft, was 0-4 with a 6.50 ERA for the Gulf Coast Reds last year.
He has spent the 2000 season at extended spring training.
Castro is hitting .261 with the Reds.
