Monday's game report
Rangers 6, Reds 3
THE ARMS: Starter Denny Neagle broke the string of two good starts by Reds' pitchers. He went five innings, allowing four runs and six hits. ... Gabe White wasn't any better in relief. White pitched one inning and gave up two runs. White was already on shaky ground, and his ERA rose to 5.73 with the performance. ... Dennys Reyes extended his streak of scoreless innings to 5ô by pitching a scoreless eighth.
THE BATS: Shortstop Gookie Dawkins hit a home run to lead off the second inning. It was Dawkins' first extra-base hit and first RBI of the spring. ... Chris Stynes drove in his eighth run of spring (that leads the team) with a double in the seventh. ... Mark Lewis and Alex Ochoa each had two hits.
THE REST: Actor Jonathan Silverman, he of Weekend at Bernie's fame, was among those in attendance. ... Dawkins made his third error of the spring. He later made an outstanding play, going into shallow left field to take away a hit from Gabe Kapler.
