Sanders, Wohlers will begin DL
BY CHRIS HAFT

SARASOTA, Fla. The saga of outfielder Deion Sanders will extend into at least the early months of the season.
The Reds announced Saturday that Sanders and right-hander Mark Wohlers will open the season on the disabled list and undergo injury rehabilitation in Cincinnati.
Once Sanders (right ankle) and Wohlers (elbow) are well enough to play, they'll join Louisville, the Reds' Triple-A affiliate.
Sanders still can't run or play in the outfield, but he felt well enough to go 2-for-4 with a home run in a Triple-A exhibition game.
Once I hit the ball, I was supposed to jog to first base, Sanders said. On one of them (the home run), I could jog all the way.
Wohlers has impressed Reds coaches with his ability to throw smoothly after undergoing Tommy John surgery last July 6. Though his recovery is ahead of schedule, he hasn't begun throwing batting practice off a mound.
