Reds Game Report
Red Sox 8, Reds 1
The arms: Denny Neagle's pitching line didn't look all that great, but yielding a bloop hit and grazing Carl Everett with a pitch made him a victim of bad luck in the first inning. Scott Sullivan looked sharp in the ninth while dropping his ERA to 1.08.
The bats: Chris Stynes' single leading off the first inning prevented Red Sox pitchers from pitching a perfect game for the second consecutive day.
The rest: The sellout crowd of 7,552 was the Reds' largest at Ed Smith Stadium since they moved their spring base to Sarasota three years ago.
Up next: Today against Minnesota at Fort Myers, Fla., 7:05 p.m.. Steve Parris will start against Twins right-hander LaTroy Hawkins.
