Bowden says no Rocker
BY CHRIS HAFT
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Contrary to speculation, the Reds have no interest of obtaining John Rocker, the embattled Atlanta Braves reliever, says GM Jim Bowden.
Coveting Rocker actually would make sense, given Bowden's hunger for power pitchers and left-handers. Rocker fits both categories.
But, said Bowden: We have had no discussions with (Braves GM) John Schuerholz. I just don't have any interest in (Rocker). I'm not going to trade for him.
