Marty Brennaman's election to the Hall of Fame means the July 23 induction ceremony will be dominated by Red.
Reds great Tony Perez was elected to the Hall Jan.11. And Big Red Machine manager Sparky Anderson is eligible for election by the Hall's veterans committee; results of that election will be announced Feb. 29.
“It would be unbelievable,” Anderson told The Enquirer last month. “The moment of a lifetime. That would be a topper for the year 2000.” (Jan. 12 story)
