The Boys of Summer are in town this weekend to help you shake that winter chill. RedsFest IV is today (4:30 to 9:30 p.m.) and Saturday (10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) at the Albert B. Sabin Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

The Reds are expecting a record turnout.

“When I'm out and about, interest seems to be really high,” said Reds Chief Operating Officer John Allen. “Advance sales have been great. There's seems to be a lot of general interest.”

The added attraction this year is the Reds have brought back 15 members of the 1990 World Championship team, including Eric Davis, Paul O'Neill, Jose Rijo and Tom Browning.

RedsFest drew about 12,000 fans each of its first two years. Last year, the crowds were down because of a snowstorm that week.

RedsFest's booths and displays fill the first floor of the convention center.

“It's basically the same set up as last year,” Reds marketing director Cal Levy said. “But nobody saw it last year because the storm kept everyone away. So, even if you were at the first two RedsFests, you haven't seen this. Things should flow much better.”

Forty-six players, coaches and broadcasters are scheduled to attend RedsFest

The Reds will have eight players signing autographs and six working photo booths.

“It helps to have more quantity,” Allen said. “But everyone is still going to want Sean Casey's and Barry Larkin's autograph. But they can only sign so many. We're going to make people know when the cutoff is.”
