'90 champs featured at Redsfest

The Cincinnati Enquirer

Members of the Reds' 1990 World Series championship team will be featured participants at Redsfest, the team's annual fan carnival to be held Jan. 28-29 at the Albert B. Sabin Convention Center.

The '90 Reds led the National League West wire-to-wire before defeating Pittsburgh and Oakland in the postseason. Veterans from that team expected to attend Redsfest include pitchers Jose Rijo, Tom Browning and Norm Charlton, outfielders Eric Davis, Billy Hatcher and Herm Winningham, catcher Joe Oliver and first baseman Hal Morris (who's also a current Red).

Numerous active Reds also will be present for autographs, photos and question-and-answer sessions throughout the event.

Tickets go on sale Monday at the Reds' Dugout Shop in the Westin Hotel downtown and at all Ticketmaster outlets in the Tristate and West Virginia. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

The Friday, Jan. 28 session will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., followed by the Saturday, Jan. 29 segment from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
