Reds ownership restructured

The Cincinnati Enquirer

The reorganized company that took control of the Reds on Friday is a limited liability company owned by Carl H. Lindner, the Louise Dieterle Nippert Trust, George L. Strike and family, William J. Reik Jr., Multimedia of Cincinnati, Inc., a subsidiary of Gannett Co., Inc., Great American Insurance Company, The Carl A. Kroch Trust and Margaret U. Schott.

The new company replaces a limited partnership of which Schott was general partner with 6.5 shares. Schott was paid $67 million Friday for 5.5 of those shares. Lindner is chief executive officer of the company. John Allen is managing executive.
