At the plate
Vladimir Guerrero is one of the hottest hitters in baseball. He took a 29-game hitting streak into Thursday night's game against St. Louis. Overall, he was hitting .306, with 30 home runs and 94 RBI heading into Thursday's game.
Rondell White (.315, 17 HRs, 48 RBI) is also having a good year. Second baseman Jose Vidro is hitting .324, with 12 homers and 53 RBI. Catcher Chris Widger is hitting .284, with 13 HRs and 49 RBI.
On the mound

Outlook
The Reds took two of three from the Expos last weekend.
These games are essential because Atlanta comes to Cincinnati Monday for a three-game series.
