Astros-Reds a box office hit

The Reds drew a crowd of 34,168 Saturday night, thanks to a walk-up crowd of 8,000-plus for the second straight night.

That pushed their season total to 978,936 and means they'll go over 1 million today. That will be the earliest the Reds have hit the million mark since 1996.

Attendance is 76,589 ahead of last year's pace, for an average of 23,876 a game. That projects to 1.93 million over 81 dates, which would be the best since 1993.
