  • The offense: MIA, again. The Reds have scored two runs or fewer in 11 of their 27 spring games.

  • The defense: Not good, either. Jon Nunnally's throwing error led to one of the runs, and Damian Jackson made his sixth error of the spring.

  • The pitching: Steve Cooke went six strong innings, allowing only two earned runs.

  • The Moe Man: Mike Morgan, the aging right-hander the Reds let go, improved to 3-0 and lowered his ERA to 2.52.

  • Today's game: vs. the Texas Rangers at Port Charlotte, 1 p.m., WLW (700 AM).
