RedsFest welcomes fans Saturday

The public can greet 13 players plus top team officials and three former players at RedsFest '98 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Convention Center, downtown. Today's session is for season-ticket holders only.

Attractions include autograph and photograph booths; hitting and pitching clinics; memorabilia tables; question-and-answer sessions; and fantasy play-by-play.

Scheduled to appear for the second annual event are pitchers Bret Tomko, Jeff Shaw, Scott Sullivan and Mike Remlinger, outfielders Jon Nunnally and Pat Watkins, infielders Aaron Boone, Bret Boone, Lenny Harris, Dmitri Young, Brandon Larson and Damian Jackson, and catcher Eddie Taubensee.

Also on hand will be manager Jack McKeon; coaches Ken Griffey Sr., Don Gullett, Ron Oester, Denis Menke and Tom Hume; Reds broadcasters Marty Brennaman and Joe Nuxhall, managing executive John Allen and General Manager Jim Bowden, and former players Tom Browning, Brooks Lawrence and Ted Power.

No autographs on bats, gloves or clothing. Only one item per person.

Fans wanting photographs should bring their own cameras.

Prices are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Only cash will be accepted at the door.

Advance tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster, the Reds Dugout store at the downtown Westin Hotel and at Cinergy Field.
